Talk about dresses, well these were more than dresses, they were gowns…works of ART! FIT has an exhibition that is so beautiful. As soon as you walk in you see a Giorgio Armani evening gown with approximately 100,000 Diamond Leaf Crystals, a new shape designed by Armani for Swarovski. My favorite gown was by Charles James which seemed to be alive! There are dresses from Mary Quant, to Gareth Pugh, to a 1908 Paul Poiret coat who was known as “King of Fashion.” Talk about CALMING the mind or soothing! http://fitnyc.edu/336.asp
