I just baked a white potato pie that my best friend Robyn and her mother recommended. Boy, does it look good and smells delicious.

If you followed my blog in the past you’ll know that my orchid has bloomed annually. This year I have two stems one with four flowers the other with three so far. My orchid becomes more prolific as the years go forward.

This was given to us from my brother, sister-in-law and niece. A Himalayan Salt Lamp which is not only beautiful but creates negative ions in the atmosphere which brings calmness.

The whole house is decorated by the smell of the enticing aroma of a traditional dish we make New Year’s Day, Brooklyn-Style Hoppin’ John. A chocolate mousse from the dessert cookbook by Maida Heatter is how we bring in the New Year once we trek back from a tasty Chinese meal in Chinatown.
